There is a reason why Italian food is the most popular in the world. Simply because its wonderful. And we are delighted to bring a taste of Italy to Nether Stowey.
Friday June 21st from 7.00pm

Imagine if you will a warm evening in the middle of June. The summer equinox so the longest day of the year.

You sit down at your red gingham table and order your favorite tipple, and its served with delicious Arancini - crispy balls of sundried tomato risotto with sunblush tomato and a spicy dip.

When you're ready a wooden platter of antipasti to share. Focaccia bread with balsamic and olive oil. Classic prosciutto crudo with ripe honeydew melon. Baby rocket with raspberry vinaigrette. Chargrilled courgettes. Creamy burrata. And heirloom tomatoes with basil.

And then your main course which you choose when you book.

Pappardelle al ragu. A rich red wine ragu with shin of beef, served with steaming fresh pasta and finished with shavings of Parmesan.

Filetto de maiale - a firm Italian favourite. Chargrilled pork tenderloin in a rich mushroom and Marsala sauce.

Pollo cacciatore - roast chicken breast and thigh, herbs, tomatoes and seasonal vegetables in a rich red wine sauce.

Merluzzo - boneless loin of cod baked with tomatoes, basil and pine nuts. Finished with chargrilled baby courgettes.

Vegetable Pappardelle - fresh pasta with a rich tomato, basil and lentil ragu. Finished (or not if you prefer) with grated Parmesan.

All served with Italian roasted baby potatoes and a delicious fresh salad.

Your pudding

Either a  vanilla panna cotta with Cheddar Valley strawberries & shortbread 

Affogato. Clotted cream ice cream with a hot shot of espresso. Cantucci.

Sicilian Lemon Tart with creme frais and blueberrie.

Or Tiramisu. The national pick me up! Layers of sponge fingers, espresso coffee, mascarpone and cocoa.

The Evening

Arrive at anytime after 7.00pm and you will be shown to your table.

Your nibbles and starter will be served as you want them with main courses served at around 8.15pm.

Puddings will be served at around 9.00pm.

Main course and puddings need to be ordered when you book.

Our evening events are not suitable for children under 12 or dogs.
