The Marion Evered Trust has been helping sick children since 1974. Following the sad loss of a young family member to leukaemia the family decided that they wanted yo help other sick young people in the area.
​
They have been working hard ever since and by arranging lots of events and functions the Trust has donated over £260,000 to the childrens cancer ward at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.
​
Kitchen is delighted to have teamed up with The Trust to offer you a wonderful afternoon tea on Sunday September 8th from 4.00pm.
​
On arrival we will present you with a chilled glass of prosecco or a flute of elderflower fizz.
​
Your table will be laid with beautiful vintage cups, saucers and plates and quirky old tea pots.
​
You will receive bottomless cups filled with either your choice of Exmoor organic tea or our locally roasted Brazier coffees.
​
To eat... a selection of finger sandwiches to include West Country ham, cucumber with black pepper and cheddar with chutney. Cheese shortbreads. Smoked salmon blinis. Little tarts with cherry tomatoes and cheddar. Kettle Crisps.
​
The sweet cake stand will tempt you with mini scones topped with strawberry jam & clotted cream, chocolate brownie, little shot glasses of Eaton Mess or lemon posset with blueberries or chocolate mousse with raspberry. Shortbread hearts. Mini chocolate eclairs. Fruit macarons. Chefs flapjack. Little cups of meringues.

Tea is £19.50 for adults and £15.00 under 12s.
​
And as if this amazing afternoon out wasn't good enough £10.00 from every place sold will be donated to The Marion Evered Trust to help them help young people with serious illnesses.
HOW TO BOOK
Tickets to this wonderful afternoon tea are restricted to 120 and this will raise £1200 to help young people in our area with serious illnesses.
